We’re an Atlanta-based company that has been providing custom Technology Managed Solutions to our customers since 1997. We have world-class data center space at a couple of data centers in Atlanta and we specialize in providing Internet Technology Solutions to customers requiring unique and scalable solutions. Our data centers are the same data centers and IP solutions used by many Fortune 500 companies but on a scalable basis. We can also provide you the Internet Technical resources necessary to develop and maintain your internet and custom applications. Our technicians have experience with large database driven applications for companies like Priceline, Nationwide Credit, John Harland, etc. and have also developed hundreds of web sites and smaller web based applications. This way you can have the experienced resources and expertise and pay only when you need them.
Atl-Connect started doing business. The company was initially owned by Steven Pierson, and was hosted from a spare bedroom in his house. At the time, Atl-Connect was one of only a few Internet Service Providers to offer web hosting on the Windows platform with support for Active Server Pages.
The company was acquired by Eric Longman and Bud Ducey for an undisclosed sum of cash. The servers were moved from Mr. Pierson’s spare bedroom to Mr. Longman’s basement.
Atl-Connect’s hosting operation was relocated to a premier Bellsouth facility in downtown Atlanta. Upstream bandwidth increased nearly 10 times, and reliability improved beyond already impressive levels. Launched Linux hosting options.
Provided programming for BreezeNet Marketing’s rental car Compare Guide, which quotes multiple rental car companies in real time. In late 2003, BreezeNet would be purchased by Priceline.com, due in part to the success of this system. Priceline became our customer.
